  (b) Mention the methods of preparation, properties and uses of diethyl ether.
4. (a) Describe the nomenclature, isomerism and structure of carboxylic acids.
  (b) Give the points of similarities and dissimilarities between formic acid and acetic acid.
5.   How is citric acid prepared? Give its important properties and uses. Discuss its constitution.
